How to apply the White Printable PU Heat Transfer Vinyl using a flat press

What do I need to apply the White Printable PU Heat Transfer Vinyl with a flat press?

• Flat heat press     38x38cm Flat heat press
• Eco solvent printer or solvent ink printer 1.6m Eco-Solvent Large Format Printer
• Vinyl cutter  Symphony cutter
• Heat resistant application tape. Sublimation Tape
• Heat resistant gloves
• Clean white paper or Teflon sheet Teflon Sheet

Heat transfer process for the White Printable PU Heat Transfer Vinyl with a flat press

1. Print your design (do not mirror) on the white printable side of the vinyl using an eco solvent or solvent ink printer.
2. After printing, allow the vinyl to fully dry, then cut your design using a vinyl cutter.
3. Weed the unwanted vinyl, leaving only your printed design.
4. Apply heat resistant application tape over the printed and weeded design.
5. Set your flat press to 190°C and adjust to medium to high pressure.
6. Place the garment or blank onto the press and position the design (with the application tape on top) onto the blank.
7. Cover the design with clean white paper or a Teflon sheet.
8. Press the design for 20 seconds at 190°C.
9. Once done, carefully open the press and hot peel the application tape while the design is still warm.
